AT THAT TIME,
THIS MOMENT

At That Time, This Moment is an exhibition that showcases Li Xiaoliang’s body of work through a series of interconnected “rooms.” These rooms house dozens of pieces, reflecting not only the breadth of his sustained creative practice but also the intricate interplay and entanglement among his works. Some creations progress simultaneously, while others stand as solitary endeavors, embodying a distinctive approach that blends cohesion with individuality. Together, these rooms form a labyrinth within the exhibition space—each room functioning as both an independent series and a gateway to the next. Visitors are invited to chart their own paths, making the rooms an integral part of the exhibition’s nonlinear narrative structure.

The exhibition’s visual identity distills the concept of “rooms” into the metaphor of a “key.” Nine distinct keys tie together the overarching visual narrative, with exhibition details engraved onto the keys themselves. Visitors metaphorically “unlock” layers of meaning as they move through the space, piecing together a cohesive and immersive viewing experience. This thoughtful design invites audiences to engage with the exhibition as both a journey and a discovery, echoing the labyrinthine interplay of Li Xiaoliang’s work.
